Welcome, Hawks!

The purpose of this association is to provide alumni and friends of SJU Athletics information about Saint Joseph's Men's Rowing as well as to create a support network for current student-athletes. Through the offering of career networking and job placement, hosting of special events including receptions, alumni races, golf outings, and the raising of money to support Saint Joseph's University Athletics, the Friends of Saint Joseph's University Men's Rowing enhances the experience between SJU Athletics and the alumni community.

The Friends of Saint Joseph’s University Men's Rowing are committed to fostering a lasting and impactful connection between alumni and the current rowing program. Our goals are to:

Support the Growth and Excellence of SJU Rowing: Provide sustained financial and material support to ensure that student-athletes have access to top-tier coaching, equipment, facilities, and competitive opportunities.
Promote Lifelong Engagement: Strengthen the bonds between alumni, current athletes, coaches, and the broader University community through events, mentorship, and shared traditions that honor the legacy of Hawk Rowing.
Preserve and Celebrate Our Legacy: Document and honor the history of SJU Rowing, celebrate past achievements, and ensure the continuity of rowing culture and pride for future generations.
Mentor and Inspire Current Rowers: Offer guidance, career advice, and real-world connections to student-athletes, helping them thrive both on and off the water.
Build a Thriving Alumni Network: Foster a vibrant and inclusive community of former rowers who share a common bond and a commitment to giving back to the team and University that shaped them.

Through these goals, we aim to ensure that the tradition of rowing excellence at Saint Joseph’s University not only endures, but continues to grow and inspire for generations to come.
